In the spirit of Ramadan and upcoming Eid inshallah – I would like to share with you one of my most favorite Islamic Naats (aka song). I don’t speak arabic, but I have a feeling that this song is very popular, because the tune and words are just so beautiful. Other Islamic songs include lyrics (the chorus) from this famous Islamic Naat. The video is nice because it includes the english translation. I’ve also included it below – both in transliteration and translation. Please listen to the video, I’m sure you’ve probably heard it sometime in your life. And if you haven’t I believe you will fall in love with the beauty of the speakers voice, the meaning and the tune. Mashahlah!
“Mawla Ya Salli” by Imam Saalih Sharafuddeen

[Chorus x2]
Nothing deterred you, No defeat no loss!
Until this community of Islam was set among the stars!
[Chorus x2]

ALLAHU AKBAR (GOD IS THE GREATEST)
I have to share this with everyone! Earlier today I heard one of the most beautiful Islamic Songs that I’ve ever heard in my life. Its ”Asma Allah” by Sami Yusuf. I’ve heard several of his songs, but today I was completely taken by surprise because I had never heard of this one. The video, mashallah is amazing. He sings about Allah’s Names, sends peace to our Prophet (saws) his Family, and his Companions. And the video is amazing because it truly shows the diversity of the Ummah (Muslim Community). Enjoy!

I found this singer recently while browsing Islamic Songs on YouTube. He has an amazing voice. (Does someone have the English Translation to this song?)
The blessed month of Ramadan is around the corner. I can’t wait!
Here is a wonderful Islamic Song that I want to share with everyone.
I wake with the light of the dawn whispering
With joy in my heart and with praise on my lips
In stillness and twilight I stand before you
Bowing, prostrating I call Allahu
My eyes see your beauty in the dawn’s golden hues
My ears hear the thunder as it glorifies you
The rhythm of my heart beats the sound of your name
My breaths rise and fall with the tide of your praise
My soul knew and loved you before I was born
And without your mercy is lost and forlorn
Wherever I may wander down the pathways of life
My cry to you, oh my Lord, is ‘guide me to light’
Through all fear and helplessness, to you do I turn
For your breath of healing and peace do I yearn
For all that I have, my Lord, all that I am
Is from You, is for You and to You will return
