Convert/Revert Connection

Now that you have really taken a good look at Islam inside out, your ready to give it a chance.

Inshallah, I hope to post things on this page that recent converts, reverts or those looking to convert may find interesting. Mostly fun things that I, as a muslim, find amazing and exciting about Islam. Follow up on some of my blog posts to find out whats on my mind. And if you have ideas or something you would like to share – how you came to Islam, starting a dialogue between recent converts, leave a post on this page.

Check this out – I posted this video in one of my earlier blog posts – its really beautiful…just look at the level of diversity of the muslim world. The song is in arabic with english translations. It has a very beautiful melody and the words that the people are repeating in the ‘chorus’ of the song are the names of Allah (aka God).

Also check out this amazing video!! I’m a muslim and I find this stuff pretty cool to listen to. If you want to know why Islam is the Truth this video will give some examples of evidence. And even if your a muslim you should check it out. One thing that is very real about Islam is that you have to believe in it wholeheartedly  – and this guy has a wonderful lecture on stuff that you probably didn’t even know. Seriously, this video is mindblowing. Share it with friends and family!:

The speaker, Br. Abdur Raheem usually says the definition of an arabic word in english in his lecture, but just in case you didn’t catch it. Here are some very basic, common Islamic words you may hear in the video:

“Alhamdullilah” means ‘Thank Allah (aka God)’

“Deen” means ‘the way of life’

“Yakeen” means ‘certainty; you want to be 100% certain’

“Iman” means ‘faith; your inner spiritual faith”

“Fitrah” means ‘your natural disposition”

“Tawheed” means ‘oneness; monothesim” – In Islam there is only ONE god, Allah(swt).

In this lecture, Br. Abdul Raheem gives an outline of different proofs of why Islam is the Truth. You can do further research. Muslims in general are obligated to ’seek knowledge’ about Islam. There is sooo much you can learn about – the Quran, the Prophets, the Signs of the Day of Judgment, etc.
